This going to be a shorter article but Nate Clifton has officially transferred to USC. He is a perfect fit for this new defense. USC has been targeting players with high academic standards and leaders, Nate checks both of these boxes. This last year with Vanderbilt he had 5.5 sacks, a pick and 30 total tackles. Clifton is 6’5” and 280 pounds. He is exactly what the defense needs and will be a big part of the success this defense might have. Nate Clifton has one year of eligibility left and will play his heart out every game. It seems like Lincoln Riley is getting who he wants. This could be the start of many players transferring to USC.

The other big news of the day is Matt Entz, North Dakota State’s head coach, becomes USC’s new linebacker coach. He will also become the assistant defensive coach behind D’Anton Lynn. It is most likely a short term deal as this could be a way for Entz to become a power five head coach. Coach Entz is a winner as he has had so much success with his Bisons. He will definitely help our defense who has just improved a bit by adding Clifton. Once again, this is huge for the Trojans.

Well this is a great day for USC heading into the bowl game against Louisville. There are also reports that Cam Ward will transfer to USC but I think Will Howard would be better. Hopefully Clifton will do as well as I think he should and Entz can help support D’Anton Lynn. This could be the beginning of something special happening at USC.
